Morocco Reaches R16 After 36 Years!!!!

The 2022 FIFA World Cup continued Thursday with all eyes on Group E, as Japan beat Spain 2-1. 

Highlights, FIFA World Cup: 

Tanaka, Doan scored in a historic comeback, Japan vs Spain 2-1 at Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar. 

Japan advanced to the knockout stages with the victory, and Japan has won its group for the first time since 2002.

Two goals from Ritsu Doan and Ao Tanaka secured another of Japan’s historic comebacks in the FIFA World Cup as Japan finished as the topper in Group E. It will face Croatia in the round of 16, while Spain, finishing second, will face Morocco in the pre quarterfinals.

This has been a huge huge statement from the African side. They go through as the top ranked team from the group. They might have conceded today but never really felt the pressure from Canada. Canada, for all their efforts, failed to return with any points. It has been a steep learning curve over the last two weeks for the North American side. Regragui’s side will now focus on its knockout match on December 6 where it will take on the second placed team from Group E.
