THE DEMOCRACY WE ARE IN.......

People are questioning if we are into fake or real democracy. Well democracy cannot be fake as democracy is run through constitution by and for the people of the country. Hence democracy is a government in itself and constitution stands as vanguard for the nation not to allow the systems to be liberal with democratic principle to run the government as per the letter and spirit of the constitution.

It is sad we often see there are violations of constitutional propriety and the system lying deep in slumber for not taking action against the violators.

Vishal Singh Rana, one of the key accused in the Akhlaq lynching case was seen sitting in front row, chanting “Yogi Yogi” in the UP Chief Minister Yog Aditya Nath's
BJP rally at Bisada village of Gautam Buddh Nagar (Greater Noida), Uttar Pradesh on the fringes of Delhi, held on the 31st March. The choice of this village was significant – it was here that the barbaric lynching of Mohd. Akhlaq took place on September 28, 2015, a sort of curtain raiser for what turned out to be a series of such attacks across the country, all in the name of “cow protection”.

About 16 accused in the Akhlaq lynching case of Dadri were seen attending the rally and majority of them sitting in the front row.

Yogi, known for his communally charged and hate-inciting speeches, revived the memories of the incident himself – and went on to practically justify the lynching by saying that the sentiments of the majority community were suppressed by the then government.

Yogi Aditya Nath crossed all limits to violate the Model Code of Conduct when he said in the rally that incidents like Dadri and BJP government in UP have been responsible for stopping cow slaughter in UP. Yogi Adityanath soft-pedalled the lynching of Mohd. Akhlaq in 2015.

He even called the Indian army as “Modi ki Sena” to punish the terrorists. Army is not the property of an individual, a group or a party. It belongs to the nation.  We the people of India are at pain to understand what is holding the Election Commission of India to initiate action against all those, even the PM included (calling gathbandhan a collection of Sharabi), for violation of MCC.

Still the whole nation is at least understanding that BJP is shivering under its pants as if it is not confident of its victory with resounding margin. The party is really suffering from insecurity and fear of defeat. Abusive language, roadside behaviour, anger, arrogance and petty reactions are the expressions of losers. The confident and self assured are always humble and suave as I have seen after experimenting on myself first already and comparing with Bhagats of all political parties and a whole host of real successful people around.

So why to compromise with lesser evil. Let us vote for the person than a party. Let there be fractured mandate to drive the point for our indictment towards these roadside opportunists to behave by suffering private mortification. We have made them very complacent. It is dangerous for our democracy. We are seeing that. Time to put a kibosh. We the voters can do it.
