Catch Up On Day 3 FIFA WC 2022 Matches

Catch up on all the 4 matches and teams on Day 3 FIFA WC 2022…….

Argentina v Saudi Arabia, Denmark Vs Tunisia, Mexico Vs Poland, and France Vs Australia….

France beats Australia (4-1); Saudi Arabia stuns Argentina (2-1); and nill all for Denmark Vs Tunisia and  Mexico Vs Poland but there is time for Messi and Argentina to save their World Cup campaign, however, despite a shock defeat by Saudi Arabia. There was more time. When you are Lionel Messi, there is always more time.

As Saudi and Argentinian fans converged on the giant golden boat of the Lusail Stadium under cloudless midday skies, the atmosphere was almost festive. National holiday has been declared today in Saudi Arabia.

The 2022 Qatar World Cup could hardly have started any better for Australia, claiming a stunning lead over reigning champions France less than ten minutes into their opening clash.

Adelaide United captain Craig Goodwin smashed the ball into the net in the ninth minute from the back post after a sweeping, sensational attacking move.

But the 2018 champions roared to life, turning the screws and dominating the Australians for the remainder of the match, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud, and Ousmane Dembele tormenting the Socceroos defense – despite spurning a host of golden opportunities.

After midfielder Adrien Rabiot scored France’s first goal in the 27th minute, Giroud quickly handed the heavyweights the lead after an Australian defensive mistake. He would round out the scoring in the 71st minute, just three minutes after Mbappe made it 3-1. Olivier Giroud scores the fourth and equals the French goalscoring record.

Important to note that Australia touched the ball just 12 times in France’s penalty area, the fewest ever tallied in a Socceroos’ World Cup game.

That was all in four games on day 3 of FIFA WC 2022 worth commenting on.
